WWE could make a big call-up to NXT soon

There was a great deal of fallout from NXT Stand & Deliver to sort out NXT last night, and some of these developments are now easier to understand with a new report from combat choice. The report states that both L.A. Knight and Raquel Gonzalez have been offered as summons, and while Knight’s position in that discussion wasn’t certain, most NXT members seem to be expecting Gonzalez to make the move. It looks like Gonzalez is ready to jump in sooner rather than later, as recent episodes have given her her reunion with Dakota Kay and her reunion with the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship, as short as she is.

Gonzalez and Kai reunite after helping each other face the Toxic Attraction, which leads to a story that once saw them together until they became bitter enemies. Now things are good again and they will continue to defeat the Toxic Attraction to regain the titles in Stand & Deliver.

Unfortunately for them, they won’t hold them for long, as the Toxic Attraction would defeat them during last night’s show to reclaim the titles, and Gonzalez appeared injured in the process with a Caivabe injury. As for Kai, she went off on a rampage and is now booked for a title match against Mandy Rose at the NXT Championship.

For L.A. Knight, it looks like he’s destined to be a huge star on either Raw or SmackDown, and has been feuding with two people for the past few weeks. He’s become a fan favorite on NXT and is one of the best speakers in WWE at this point, which is probably why the report says a pitch made him a manager thanks to his excellent work on the mic.

If the general plan is to take him to the ring, sure, but if not, it’s just a waste. It’s already out on Monday Night Raw, and it’s going to be an asset in either brand, so hopefully those two recalls will happen sooner rather than later.

For the best bouts, Gonzalez would probably be a definite fit for Raw, given that you’ve already got Rhea Ripley there and they’ve already delivered some epic matches in NXT. However, WWE doesn’t often jump into past rivalries right after a call-up, so she’ll probably head to SmackDown, which will allow her to mix it up with Natalya, Charlotte, Aliyah, Sasha Banks, and Shotzi later.

For Knight, SmackDown would be a perfect fit, as the show needs another skilled star on the mic who can meld with The Bloodline, though there are Happy Corbin, Drew McIntyre, Ricochet, Sami Zayn and more who can jump the ring before heading into Roman Reigns.
